I See You Arising

I see you arising from the sea
Beauty in form and motion
As waters, receding, gently caress you
Losing their tenuous grasp
Until you rise above the horizon
Climbing the gentle slope of the sands
Your muscles playing out our earthly physics
Form and function heightened to the divine
Sun glinting from skin made sparkling
By the evanescent memories of your birth
You stand before me
Woman, as no woman before
Beauty, as no other
And I smile for what this day may bring.
